eLinkAir and Electric Aerial Vehicle

There is a strong trend in civil aviation to develop electric propelled aircrafts.

The drive behind the trend is the pressure to reduce pollution from burning Jets-fuel in the common jet-engines. All the large manufacturers are in a race to develop the next electric “Air Taxi”

Among them: Boeing, Bell, Airbus, And many others.

The greatest obstacle of all these efforts is the high weight of the batteries, which comes on the expense of useful load. The result of this drawback is that the distance that the “Air Taxi” may travel is very small usually (100Km in average) – which is impractical for many duties, especially for communication between cities, and even between airports outside the urban areas and city-centers.

eLinkAir can solve part of this problem: In the open areas outside the cities, the eLinkAir can provide electricity on the move to the electric Aerial Vehicle, until the outskirts of the populated area, and thereafter the “Air Taxi” may “call in” the eLinkAir and fly away the “Last Mile” on its own batteries.
The transmission lines that will enable the flight of the eLinkAir will be called “eCorridor”, and you may read more about that concept here.
